Unlike heavy metal heat shields, this exhaust header protector is molded from high-temperature PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) engineering plastic — rated for continuous use at 220–260°C and short-term peaks up to 280°C. It’s significantly lighter than metal alternatives, reduces vibration load on the exhaust system, and won’t rust or corrode. The wrap-around curved structure provides effective thermal shielding of the header section without fully enclosing the pipe.
